Users benefit from improved speed and multi-modal notification capabilities; expands reach of ESi WebEOC to government and enterprise markets

DRJ Conference, SAN DIEGO – September 17, 2006 – Emergency Services integrators (ESi), the leader in incident management systems, and MIR3, the technology leader in automated solutions for enterprise-level notification systems and business continuity emergency notification services, today announced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement focused on the growing emergency notification requirements in the first responder, government and enterprise markets.

Under the OEM agreement, ESi will integrate MIR3’s intelligent notification technology into its ESi WebEOC® industry standard platform through a new product, ESi WebEOCAlert powered by MIR3 to bring real-time incident management information to emergency operations centers (EOCs).

EOCs have long served as communications, command and control centers for first responders, hospitals, municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement and public works agencies to collaborate during incident response and recovery. Enterprise sectors with critical operations such as utilities, oil and gas, transportation, telecommunications and others are now embracing EOCs as they strive to ensure business continuity in a natural disaster, industrial accident, act of terrorism or other contingency.

ESi’s WebEOC, the world's first Web-based emergency management communications system, provides cost-effective, real-time information sharing. By linking local, state, national, and even worldwide incident stakeholders and information sources together, WebEOC facilitates decision-making in planning, emergency and recovery situations. ESi WebEOCAlert powered by MIR3 will allow business continuity managers, emergency managers and first responders the speed and ability to reach more people more quickly on more communication devices than ever before, including cell phones, satellite phones, land lines, two-way SMS, email and PDAs. Additionally, the enhanced solution will offer improved accountability through post-event audit reporting and provide detailed information such as who received what notification, at what time and how the response was executed.
